With funding from Norweigian Agency for Exchange Cooperation, Chance for Change in partnership with Advance Afrika launched a new project “UMUNTHU-Education and Skilling for Offenders”.   The objective of the partnership is to equip offenders with education and skills that will enable them to be self- reliant members of society.  The project builds on the experiences and lessons from a previous FK Norway exchange program (2016-2017) that focused on the socio-economic rehabilitation and reintegration of prison inmates and ex-inmates in Uganda and Malawi.

The exchange continues to lead to the development of a holistic programme that gives young offenders a second chance by equipping them with entrepreneurship and life skills, rebuilding identity as well as cognitive behaviour and supporting the reintegration process of ex-offenders through mediation.
