Ms. Daphne.C. Egwar is a Professional Lawyer who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law (Hons. LLB) from Makerere University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre. She is a National Certified Trainer with Change the Game Academy in Resource mobilisation and fundraising. Over the years, Daphne has attained experience in Legal service provision and NGO Program work. She has practical court room experience, experience working with refugees, prison inmates, rural communities, media and both regional and national leaders. She joined Advance Afrika in August 2015 as a Project Assistant before being elevated to Program Officer position in March 2016, a position she held until September 2017. She also worked with Facilitation for peace and Development (FAPAD), Justice Centers Uganda, and Humanitarian Initiative Just Relief Aid (HIJRA). She is currently the Coordinator for the Action for Livelihood Enhancement in Northern Uganda (ALENU) Project at Advance Afrika and a Legal Associate at Okae, Basalariwa & Co Advocates. Daphne is interested in working with young people and the less privileged in humanitarian services and access to justice. She aspires to be a learning professional that is driven by passion, results, and appreciation.
