He is an Austrian, with a Ph.D. in Social and Economic Science and a Master´s degree in Media Science. For the past years, he has worked with several international project consortium's (CARE, Red Cross, SOS Children's Villages, etc.), and developed a learning video as a guide for experts on "How to execute Advocacy work for CSOs in East Africa", Dr Mark was directly involved in mobilisation, sensitisation, and participation of target groups and monitoring activities in a USAID-funded project in Uganda on Advocacy in rural communities.

He has advised organisations in setting up communication strategies and supported management and staff in consolidating this policy in daily decisions. He facilitated training on collecting and writing best practices, success stories, and producing short videos for social media, newsletters, websites, or reports with the aim to enhance advertising, fundraising, and public awareness.
