Based on a solid research foundation, our approaches have been highly effective in restoring ex-offenders into communities, giving them hope and a future, and reducing recidivism. We have excellent relationships with the Uganda Prisons Service, and a history of working collaboratively with staff and social workers in prison.

As a result, we have a unique niche in working transformatively with these extremely vulnerable individuals.

We understand both the conceptual framework and the practicalities of restorative justice. Through excellent relationships with community leaders and police at a district level, we are ideally placed to mitigate the root causes of vulnerability to criminality.

In addition, our work on victim offender relationships, positions us to support reconciliation effectively, reducing the likelihood of a descent into armed conflict with the inevitable devastating consequences.
