Don Wanyama

Mr Don Wanyama is a trained teacher and journalist. He first ventured out as a teacher of English Language and Literature in English before joining the media (The New Vision) as a sub-editor. He then moved to the Daily Monitor newspaper in 2008 where he has grown from a deputy chief sub-editor to chief sub-editor before being appointed managing editor in May 2013. Mr Wanyama is passionate on issues of human rights, democracy and accountability. In his free time he travels and writes satire

Sheila Innocent

Sheila Innocent is a professional Accountant with valuable financial management experience of at least Seven years at Finance/Administration Manager Level in both International and National NGOs; managing various donor-funded projects; USAID, Unicef, UNFPA, UN Women, UNDEF, European Union, Comic Relief, Democratic Governance Facility (DGF), AJWS, Foundation of Open Society Institute, Trocaire, Diakonia, FLOW, Action Aid (PFA)) amongst others. She has significant exposure of project accounting/ auditing/ various donor requirements and sub-grantee management. Sheila has been responsible for ensuring attainment of organisational objectives through enhancement of effective and efficient processes, human resources, financial systems and procedures; promotion of efficient and economical use of organisational resources. This includes extensive familiarity of financial management, budget processes/monitoring, financial reporting and analysis, accounts reconciliation, pay roll management, statutory regulations, accounting systems development, human resources management including liaising with personnel at various levels of organisations. Sheila attained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Kyambogo University and ACCA Level III training ongoing.

Chrisitine Munduru

Mrs Christine Munduru is a public health specialist. Her initial public health work focused on areas of HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Tuberculosis and integrated management of childhood illnesses. After gaining experience with International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Ikafe refugee camp, Canadian Physicians for Aid and Relief (CPAR) in Lango sub-region and African Medical Research Foundation (AMREF) in Luwero and Kiboga, she moved to a regional level work on health and human rights in 2009 with Open Society Initiative for Eastern Africa (OSIEA). While at OSIEA, she initiated a rights-based advocacy program on maternal health in Uganda which resulted in the huge constitutional petition that took the government of Uganda to court over unnecessary deaths of pregnant mothers. From 2014, she became an independent consultant on public health but with particular focus and interest on maternal health and the Human Rights Based Approach (HRBA). She is now supporting OSIEA as a consultant to scale up the rights based maternal health program in Kenya, Tanzania and S.Sudan and strengthen the work in Uganda.
